A little road trip to Wales in a Volvo Amazon to bring in the New Year.

At the stroke of midnight of NYE 2017, Craig and I popped open a tiny bottle of bubbles from the back of Classic Car Club‘s gorgeous 1967 Volvo Amazon estate. We were camped out overlooking Bala in an attempt to see some fireworks, but had to settle for the stars with an occasional crack and fizzle of what may have been considered outlandish by Welsh standards.

We had driven over the previous day at what can only be described as a leisurely pace, the Amazon really does allow you to savour the journey. It’s comfortable, cosy and beautiful as it floats around the lanes and roads of the deepest Welsh countryside.

It was a tremendous way to start 2018, and we hope you all have a fantastic year! Please enjoy the photos, hopefully as much as we enjoyed trekking in the rain, or steering through the mist.
